8/21/11- Cool nights and heavy dew & rain ... is it fall already???? The chickens sure think it is and their egg production has been cut in half.

8/15/11- Wow...the farm got a total of 4 inches of rain this weekend!!! We will be drying out and accessing the damage over the next few days.  The large tree in the cow pasture fell during the storm on Saturday.

7/4/11- Happy 4th of July.  Finally the dry days that we need to transplant and get a few more plantings of seeds in.  Where are the herbs??? they are just being planted this week.  We needed to get the main crops in before we took the time on the herbs, sorry!!!  Corn should be ready to be harvested starting the last week in July.  Enjoy!

6/27/11-Enough with the wet weather.  Enjoy your Holiday weekend!

6/21/11- We are catching up on the plantings.  Tom is preparing land that was wet the first few months of Spring, Yeah!!! We are still behind 3 weeks but are happy to be farming in the SUN.  Have a great weeks.

6/17/11-Update on Spinach: Unfortunately the spinach does not hold up in delivery, it starts to wilt and break down as soon as it is bunched, be have tried everything. When we put cold water on it to hydrate the bunch it just accelerates the process. We do not use any preservatives that are used by farmers to get the greens to the grocery stores. We do not use any chemicals to prolong the life of veggies and it looks like spinach is just not going to be an item that is going to hold up. We have worked for 5 years to make it happen but to no avail. We can grow it we just can't deliver it. Wish I had better news.

6/13/11-  We are finally picking for the first Harvest for 2011!!  We have posted the weekly selection under Produce Selection.  Enjoy your week!

5/30/11-2011 Members we will be Harvesting late due to weather conditions this growing season.  The 1st harvest will be the week of June 13th.  You should receive an email on May 30th or May 31st giving all the details.  We pray that the sun keeps shining and the windy continues to dry out the fields.

3/16/11-  We have started growing in the greenhouses for the 2011 growing season, yeah!!!!!  We still have openings for the 2011 growing season, spread the word.  We are looking forward to seeing everyone at the farm this season and will be letting you know dates to save for 2011 CSA farm events. We had a wonder first year Winter Share, thank you for supporting our CSA during the cold winter months!!!  Call the farm with any questions.
