Windy Meadow Farms located in West Walworth, New York. Established in 2003 by Brenda and Thomas Welker. Experience the freshest produce that our family can grow for your family. Windy Meadow Farms is a CSA, Community Supported Agriculture, with the CSA starting it's first season in June 2006. Community Supported Agriculture consists of a community of individuals who pledge support to a farm operation so that the farmland becomes the community's farm, with the farmer and the members providing mutual support and sharing the risks and the benefits of food production. Typically, members or " share-holders" of the farm pledge in advance to cover the anticipated costs of the farm operation. In return, members receive shares in the farm's bounty throughout the growing season, as well as the satisfaction gained from reconnecting to the land and participating in food production. Members also share in the risks of farming, including poor harvests due to unfavorable weather and pests.
We supply the freshest natural/sustainable seasonal produce at a reasonable price and convenient location to both Wayne County and Monroe County residents. Convenient delivery is available as well as pick-up at several locations.
The freshest natural/sustainable produce is available to your families for twenty-two weeks out of the year. Distribution of produce starts the first week of June through the last week in October.
The farm share price for the 2010 season is $250 for 22 weeks of vegetables picked-up at the Farm, $300 if picked-up at a pick-up location other then the Farm and $350 for home delivery. A payment installment plan is available, see enrollment form. Weekly pick-up and delivery for 2010 is currently available. Each Pick-up location has a designated time for pick-up; please look of the 2010 Pick-up Location under our Resources Link (Will be posted January 2010) .
