Thank you for your support this 2007 growing season. Your annual enrollment allows us to farm with as many biodynamic techniques, “organic”, as possible. We will be evaluating what to grow and if we should try new varieties or not during this season and for the 2008 crop plan. We look forward to your comments and e-mail feedback. Your feedback will help us complete our seed order and crop planning for next year. Many of you have told us during the last few seasons what you would like us to grow and what variety you would like to see in the weekly share.
How does our farm work? The farm members enroll annually and then are able to pick-up or have delivered a share once a week for twenty-three weeks from June 23, 2007 to November 24, 2007. What is a share? A share provides 7-17 lbs of freshly harvested produce each week. Given an average harvest, a share provides enough vegetables to feed 2-4 adults eating a vegetable based diet (400-450 lbs of produce every season). Each week you will receive 7-12 different varieties of vegetables. You will experience a variety of vegetables that change with the season. From early spring with luscious greens and peas, through the peak of the summer with rich flavored tomatoes, freshly picked sweet corn, and green beans, and into the cool days of fall with hearty root vegetables like, potatoes, winter squash, beets and cabbage. We will be providing a fruit share each week. The fruit will change with the season. We will be able to offer delivery this season. Ask for details on the delivery schedules. We also have several pick-up locations in Wayne, Monroe and Ontario counties.
The farm share price for the 2007 season is $230 for 23 weeks of vegetables picked-up and $345 for delivery. Payment installment plan is available, see enrollment form.
Weekly pick-up and delivery is scheduled for Saturdays from 8:00 am to 1:00 am at the farm. Each Pick-up location has a designated time for pick-up, please see schedule.
